FAQs & CARE
What is our process?
- CONSULTATION:
Do you have a project in mind? Step one is to either call, submit an estimate online, or stop by our shop, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, and consult with one of our rockstar designers. No appointment is necessary! Our design team will help you with ideas, needs, sizes, materials, and pricing. Don’t be shy! Contact us today! - VEHICLE/SITE SURVEYS:
If you are interested in a vehicle wrap, then our team will make sure to take pictures and measurements of your vehicle to make sure everything fits. Our team will also perform any required site surveys to take measurements and pictures, and will also obtain any needed permits, ensuring that your signs are safe, secure, and in compliance with all local laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances. - ESTIMATE & DEPOSIT:
Once the details and estimate of the project are approved, we collect an initial non-refundable deposit for design costs. This reserves you a due date/install date for your project and also starts the proofing process. - DESIGN & PROOF APPROVAL:
Our designers will work hard to bring your ideas to life. We provide digital proofs for review and approval before anything goes into production. This is the time to work with your designers and make sure your requirements are met. Any add-ons to the initial approved estimate are considered change orders and will increase costs. Our designers are always upfront about any extra costs, so there are no surprises! ALL PROOFS REPRESENT A SIMULATION OF FINISHED ART, COLOR, SIZE, AND PLACEMENT MAY DIFFER ON THE FINAL JOB. - PRODUCTION:
Once your proofs are approved, we will require a 50% deposit to put your files into production. Your graphics are then printed, weeded, laminated, plotted, and routed by our hard-working production staff. They will call you when your project is ready for pick-up. - INSTALLATION:
If you are getting a vehicle wrap or sign installed, our Master Certified team of installers will guarantee a professional installation every time. Please note that our shop gets busy and our install team can book up fast, so don’t wait to get started on your next project! Contact us today!
Can you color match?
At Grafics Unlimited, we do our best to match the printed colors to the colors being seen on the screen. However, since all computer monitors and devices display color differently, we cannot guarantee print colors will match colors viewed on the screen when printed. It is best to get a test sample of color if you are concerned with the final result. Charges may apply.
What can I expect the day of the install?
Please drop your vehicle at 8am the day of your scheduled install. Make sure your vehicle is washed and dry, no wax. We will call as soon as the vehicle is ready for pick-up. If you are scheduled to have a sign installed, we will let you know when to expect the installers at your location the day of install.
Weather delays: If we need to install vinyl outside on location, it must be at least 50 degrees or the install will need to be postponed. When vinyl gets too cold it become brittle and prone to ripping.
What is the warranty of my vehicle graphics?
Different products carry different life spans. Be sure to discuss your options for longevity of your graphics. Due to weather conditions or wrap installation obstacles on the vehicle, there may be some bubbles or lifting that occurs within the first week or so. Bring the vehicles back in for a quick go-over if you see any issues. Often a little more heat or an edge sealer can fix any small issues before they become bigger.
How do I care for my vehicle graphics?
Hand washing is recommended (at least every two weeks.) Use plenty of water. Wash from the top down. Avoid brushes, they can cause scratches and dull the finish of the protective laminate. Brushes also can lift loose edges. Use a soft sponge or rag to avoid excessive scrubbing. Take extra care on matte or textured finishes. Rinse any residue thoroughly with clean water. Air dry or dry with microfiber cloth. Avoid excessive pressure washing, which can damage the graphics. Do not spray damaged graphics as the water can get under the graphics causing lifting and curling. Do not direct the spray at a sharp angle to the graphics. Avoid spraying directly on the wrap seams. Trim back all lifted edges and seal with an edge sealer or replace sections of graphics if necessary. Remove any residue or gunk as soon as possible to avoid damage or staining. Test any cleaners you use in an inconspicuous place first. Avoid abrasive cleaners, gas spills, wash residue with soapy water as soon as possible. If you have oil, tar,or asphalt build-ups, wipe down with isopropyl alcohol and a citrus based cleaner. Follow any chemical cleanings with a regular washing with a mild cleaner. Clean boats off with fresh water after each use. Park in the shade, in a garage or undercover as much as possible to avoid UV damage.
How long will my vehicle wrap last?
That depends partly on you! If your vehicle is out in the direct sun/rain/snow/ice every day, all day, then the product is going to degrade faster than having it in your shop or garage. If you wash and wax using our tips & tricks, it will last longer. Here in Nevada, you can reasonably expect your wrap to last 3-5 years on average. Horizontal surfaces are the first to show signs of aging, which means any surface facing the sun.
When should I remove old vinyl?
You notice your vinyl’s come to the end of its life, now what? It is time to have it removed before the vinyl burns onto your paint and cracks into 1000 pieces. It can be taken off fairly easily by a certified shop, like Grafics Unlimited. We have all the tools and experience to safely remove your wrap, and not damage your vehicle. You can try yourself, but we do not recommend it. Vinyl left on too long may have to be manually bladed off with razor blades. Don’t wait!
What is your turnaround for printed graphics (not including vehicle wraps)?
3-5 business days, depending on how busy we are. We can handle rush jobs for an additional fee.
